On 25 December 2018, a heavy rainstorm struck northern Syria. The storm continued for two consecutive days, creating catastrophic conditions for those living in camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs). About 250,000 residents were hit by flooding. No casualties have been reported thus far but housing, possessions and livestock have been badly damaged. The storm swept away and damaged thousands of tents and in some low lying areas, water levels rose above the knee. Kids Paradise aims to respond immediately and support the affected families.
